A breakthrough session

Sometimes we can go round and round in our heads, trying to figure a solution or see a way forward. We need to find a way out of the muddle or set a new direction but we have got lost in the information or lack enough information to make a good decision.

Single session consultation can be a great way to cut through the detail and obtain valuable perspective. It really does help to share with someone who is impartial and experienced at deep listening. Artificial Intelligence can provide what seem like good suggestions, but what it cannot do is understand and relate to your emotional experience and the unique configuration of your life. Our challenges can be too subtle to be captured by an algorithm. There is deep relief to be found in being seen and heard by another human being.

A consultation might be on parents’ concerns about their child; how to move forward from a relationship or job ending; how to acquire skills to deal with an ongoing stressful situation; or to how meet the challenges of transition at different times in one’s life.

Consultations can take place in my therapy space, walking in nature, by telephone or online via Zoom.

How a breakthrough session works

Regardless of the question or concern you bring, I always begin with deep listening skills that enable me to start putting together the unseen parts of the problem. We may then use energy healing to work with a block or fear or cognitive- behavioural therapy to challenge thought patterns and generate actions. Always we are working towards finding the next right steps for you. If we work in nature, we will likely work more intuitively, taking a less linear approach to the question. We will incorporate signs and patterns we encounter in the woods to help us achieve clarity and direction.
